You belong in GPA! Our mission is to create a fun, cohesive school community to support our children’s education.
We are all busy, so to make planning a breeze, our school functions are listed below by month. Signup links to each event will be added as needs are determined. Please plan ahead and consider volunteering at one of our many fun fundraising and community building events.

2023/2024 Fundraisers and Events!
2023 Dates: September 1st, October 20th and December 15th
2024 Dates: February 9th, April 26th and June 14th
Cal Skate Fundraising Nights will run throughout the 2023/2024 school year!
Come show off your skate moves (or lack thereof) and support our children’s enrichment programs! Be sure to check Monday Messages for updates and reminders regarding our skate nights at Cal Skate in Rohnert Park. These themed events are truly so much fun!
Our next event is Friday, October 20th from 5:30pm-7:30pm and is Halloween themed! Don’t have a costume? Don’t worry, in partnership with the DEIB Committee we will be having a costume “Shop for Free” event set up. You can donate your old costumes to either the Hillcrest or Gravenstein School Office (There are marked boxes at each office). GPA and the DEIB Committee will then be distributing the costumes at Skate Night during the “Shop for Free” event.
September 28th
Color Run @ Hillcrest
As always, Hillcrest had a wonderful Color Run event! The kids raised over $8,000 and earned some truly awesome prizes.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Enrichment programs by donating, volunteering and cheering on the students of Hillcrest Middle School. We are already looking forward to next year!

Jog-A-Thon @ Gravenstein
Our 2023 Jog-A-Thon was a huge success! As always, the students had a wonderful time jogging the track with our Grizzly mascot. Huge smiles all around as every lap tallied supported our Enrichment programs. A huge THANK YOU to the students, volunteers, business sponsors and supporters who donated to this colorful rainbow-themed fundraiser. We’re already excited for next year’s event!

Fall GPA Community Building Event – Sunday, September 10th from 10am-3pm at Doran Beach
Family Picnic at Doran Beach!
Pack up the family and your picnic lunch and meet the Gravenstein and Hillcrest community out at the beach for sunshine, games and good times! Parking Fee is $7, if you need support covering this cost, please contact GPA at gravensteinparentassociation@gmail.com. Pack a picnic, bring your favorite beach toys, and come get to know your Gravenstein community!

Pancake Breakfast at Hillcrest Middle School
Wow! A huge THANK YOU to all the GUSD families that attended the Pancake Breakfast at Hillcrest Middle School. Thank you to all of the volunteers and those who donated to our wonderful grade level baskets. GPA is thrilled to have brought so many families together in this wonderful community building event.

Beginning April 23rd at Open House!
Book Fair
The Book Fair will be held during Open House events at both Gravenstein and Hillcrest campuses. Volunteers are encouraged!

Read-a-thon
Put those new book fair purchases to use and participate in the 2024 Read-A-Thon! This annual fundraising event kicks off April 29th and runs through May 10th.
May 6th-10th
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is celebrated all month!
GUSD likes to show their appreciation to all of our wonderful teachers and staff throughout the entire month of May!
We look forward to continuing to show our appreciation for staff every Friday in May. Part of your donations support these staff appreciation events, in this way we are all Gravenstein Parent Association! We know many families like to do something personal from their family for the staff that support their child each day, staff love those things too!
