The GPA Board
2025-2026 Gravenstein Parent Association Board Members
GPA has many roles and responsibilities, planing and executing school events, paying enrichment teachers salaries, funding teacher mini grants, maintaining the budget and collecting monthly donations. The board is made up of parent volunteers within the GUSD school district. We are passionate about creating an inclusive community at our school. If you have a question, come find us at drop off or pick up and have a chat!
Executive and Chair Board Elections are held in the spring of each school year. Members At Large are voted in when when a volunteer wants to step in and help the board. If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved in your child’s educational experience, please consider joining the board. We ask all members of the board to serve on a subcommittee, such as Governance, Finance, Fundraising, or Communications, and ask you to participate in at least 7 of the 9 monthy meetings.

President
Performs duties of president in the president’s absence. The Vice President is a member of the Governance Committee.

Anica Truter
Vice President
Supervises and controls the affairs of the organization and the activities of the officers. Presides at all board meetings. Executes governance documents.

Corey Samo
Treasurer
Controls all of the organization’s funds. Works with bookkeeper to disperse funds, maintains accounts of organization’s transactions, and provides financial records to any member on request. Prepares and presents an overview of current financial reports at board meetings.

Christina Lozano
Secretary
Documents minutes at board meetings. Maintains minutes and other organization documents (bylaws, articles of incorporation, resolutions, etc.) Oversees notices for special meetings and the annual board election.
